Two pairs each of 2, 4, 6 and 8 kg, which is eight bells and 40 kg (88 lb) of bells in total. Both the Swing Tower and the SwingBoard hold the full set of eight, so the rack you choose does not change the weights you get.

The eight bells come to 40 kg (88 lb). The Swing Tower weighs about 10 kg (22 lb) on its own, so a tower with the full set loaded onto it stands at roughly 50 kg (110 lb). Use 40 kg when you are working out what you will be lifting and 50 kg when you are working out what the floor is carrying.

It is a question about the room. The Swing Tower is free-standing, 87 cm tall on a 34 x 34 cm base, needs no wall and moves between rooms, and it carries a tablet holder at the top. The SwingBoard is wall-mounted at 157 x 22 x 8.6 cm and uses no floor at all, which suits a room with furniture already in it. Both hold the same eight bells.

Hand-stitched genuine leather over a fill of iron granules, with a body measuring 20 x 25 x 12 cm. The leather is the visible surface and it ages with handling; the granules are the mass. Walnut sets come with natural or black leather.

The fill moves. A cast iron kettlebell is one solid mass and behaves the same whatever the speed; a SwingBell is a leather pouch of iron granules, so the load shifts inside the case and reaches the hand a fraction late through a fast swing. The leather case also means a bell set down on a hardwood floor does not land like cast iron. Held still, the two are much the same thing at the same weight.

One that will carry 40 kg of bells plus the board hanging off it. Masonry, concrete and solid structural timber all do; a hollow partition on its own does not. Yes, there is a dedicated tablet and phone holder at the top of the column, which puts a screen at eye level while you train. With the training book in the box and a video on the holder, the set covers both ways of learning the movements.

Six: Shadow, Oak, Vintage, Club, Cherry and Walnut, cheapest to dearest in that order, on either the Tower or the Board. Walnut is also offered with black leather on the bells. Shadow is the black-stained wood-veneered entry, Oak is the pale open grain, Vintage carries an aged character finish, Club prices level with Vintage in the middle of the ladder, and Cherry runs warm toward red in real cherry veneer.

The base plate is 34 x 34 cm, or 13.4 x 13.4 in., and the column stands 87 cm tall in a 15 x 15 cm section. Roughly a third of a square metre carries 50 kg of tower and bells, so a level floor matters more than a large one. Allow clear swinging room around it, which is a bigger number than the base plate.

Yes, a training book ships with the set. Swing work is more technical than a curl or a press, and the book covers the positions the eight weights are built around. It is a useful thing to have in the room at the start, alongside the tablet holder on the Tower.

Three packages, assembled on site. That covers the rack and the bells, and it keeps each carton to a weight one person can move, which matters with 40 kg of bells in the consignment. The Board is fixed to the wall as part of that installation.

One year from the date of shipment, taken to two years on components and two years on wooden components by registering the set inside that first year. Spare parts carry ninety days. The term covers private and commercial use, and it excludes normal wear, which on a leather product means the patina the bells pick up with handling.
