The carton has been opened. A bench reaches open box stock when it has been unboxed for a showroom, returned inside the return window, or opened and repacked in our warehouse. It is not refurbished, not repaired and not ex-rental. We look it over before it ships and describe what we find, marks included.

We do not sell it as a used bench and we will not describe it as unused unless we know that. Ask us for photographs and a written condition note on this specific unit and we will send them before you order. An open box price reflects an opened carton and whatever handling came with it, which is generally light and occasionally visible.

Shadow with artificial leather. Shadow is a black-stained, real wood-veneered panel and it is the entry finish across the NOHrD range; artificial leather is the wipe-clean pad specification. Neither is configurable on an open box unit. The standard NOHrD WeightBench carries six woods and two leathers across twelve combinations.

One. Open box stock is one particular bench standing in our warehouse and never a line we reorder, so it is gone as soon as somebody takes it. If you are weighing it up, tell us and we will let you know if someone else is asking about the same unit.

Mechanically, yes. Same 400 kg (882 lb) maximum load including dumbbells, same eight backrest positions and two seat positions, same metal-reinforced solid wood frame, same 135 x 35 x 44 cm and 20 kg. The differences are the carton, the price and the fact that the wood and the leather are already decided.

Wait if you want one of the other five woods, genuine leather, or a carton nobody has opened. A standard NOHrD WeightBench is built to order in the finish you choose, so it comes with a lead time, and we confirm the current lead time in writing before you commit to either bench. Take the open box unit if Shadow and artificial leather were what you were going to order anyway, because this one is already in the warehouse.

Ask us to confirm it in writing before the bench ships. NOHrD's term runs one year from the date of initial shipment and is extended to two years on components and two years on wooden components by registering inside that first year, with ninety days on spare parts. Because an open box unit has a shipment date behind it, the remaining term is a question we answer per unit and never in the abstract.

Assume yes. The WeightBench ships as one package of 120 x 40 x 36.5 cm at 25 kg and is assembled on site, and an open box unit is normally repacked into that carton. If this one has been left standing assembled, we will say so and tell you how it will travel.

Ask us before you buy and we will set out the return terms that apply to this unit in writing. Open box items are sometimes handled differently from sealed stock, so it is worth having the answer in an email before you commit. We would far rather talk you out of a bench that is wrong for the room than take it back afterwards.

135 x 35 cm on the floor and 44 cm to the pad, which is about half a square metre plus working room at the sides for dumbbells. At 20 kg one person moves it, so it can be slid under a SquatRack for pressing and pushed aside afterwards.

Weights and somewhere to rack a bar. The WeightPlate Tower and Bars brings 20 plates and three Gungnir barbells, the DumbBell Set brings nine pairs from 5 to 25 kg, and the SquatRack folds into two wall casings and opens up over the bench for pressing. All three are offered in Shadow, so the room stays matched.

The wooden surfaces carry NOHrD's hard wax oil and are re-oiled on a schedule, never stripped back. The NOHrD Care Set holds 100 ml of wood care oil, 100 ml of lubricant, an abrasive fleece and three microfibre cloths, and it covers the whole wooden range. A black-stained surface shows dust more than it shows handling, which suits an open box frame.
