Osaki | 4D Bravo Duo Mech
The Osaki 4D Bravo Duo Mech Massage Chair runs two roller units on one track, one on your whole back and one on your glutes and upper hamstrings, so neither half waits its turn. Its 4D rollers move up, down, across and in and out of the backrest, and they change speed as they press. Both units ride a self-adaptive flexible SL-Track, a rail that bends to the shape of your back and keeps extending as the chair reclines. An S-track is the shorter rail and finishes at your lower back, whereas this one covers neck, shoulders, spine, hips and thighs, with 22 auto programs across it.
On a chair with one roller unit, your glutes get the rollers on the way down the track and again on the way back up, with nothing holding position there in between. Around the track sit 38 air cells at the shoulders, arms, calves and feet, with heating pads at your lumbar and your calves. The program library is the widest in this group of dual-mechanism chairs: 22 auto programs with 6 manual modes underneath them. You run them from a touchscreen controller, from your voice, or from the side panels on the arm. A computer body scan reads your back before a program starts. Two-stage zero gravity is the recline that takes your weight off your spine. The footrest extends up to 6 inches, and a full recline needs 4 inches of wall clearance.
Inside the chair
The Bravo Duo Mech is built around a track that changes shape under your back, carrying two roller sets and 22 auto programs across it.
The numbers
The Bravo Duo Mech runs from a track that bends to your spine to 4 inches of clearance behind the chair, with 38 air cells, 22 auto programs and heat at the lumbar and calves between them.
Closer look
An SL-track already follows the S of your spine and the L of your seat. The version on the 4D Bravo Duo Mech adds flex, so the track takes the contour of the individual back sitting against it, and it adds extension during the recline itself. Put those two together and the track is still lengthening as the backrest goes down, so the rollers travel further than the frame does and the stretch through your back goes with them.
A 22-program library is a lot of chair to steer, so the 4D Bravo Duo Mech gives you three separate ways to do it. The touchscreen controller is the full interface, with the whole 22-program library, the manual settings and the chair positions reachable from the one screen. Intelligent voice control covers the same ground with the controller left in its cradle, on a set list of spoken commands. The side panels on the arm handle the two things you reach for most: moving the chair and starting a program. Underneath the 22 auto programs sit 6 manual modes for the sessions you want to build yourself.
Zero gravity lifts your knees above your heart, and the chair stores two stages of it. The shallower position and the deeper one are both a single press away. Space-saving construction is the base that slides the chair forward as it goes back, so it needs 4 inches behind it to reach a full recline. Heating pads warm your lumbar and your calves through the session, and the footrest extends up to 6 inches for longer legs. The headrest lifts out if you want your shoulders sitting higher against the track.
Compare
The Bravo Duo Mech is the back-focused chair, with a track that bends to your spine and the widest program library in the group. It shares its chair dimensions with the 4D+3D Bravo Duo Flex, which spends its lower mechanism on a walking motion through the legs, glutes, hamstrings and knees.
