Free Curbside Delivery

Curbside Delivery ships via Freight to the 48 contiguous states. The freight carrier will contact you 24 to 48 hours prior to delivery to set a delivery day and time Monday-Friday, with a 4-hour open window.

They won’t deliver without speaking to you first. **Shipping times are only approximate, and can change depending on environmental conditions, transit issues, and carrier’s availability. Last minute appointments can occur, and it’s out of our hands since the delivery process is managed by the carrier’s. The sauna will be delivered in 1 box or more, depending on the model. All boxes will be strapped to a pallet. All saunas are delivered in a 53-foot semi-truck with a single driver, who will unload the pallet to your curbside or driveway only. Any delivery questions or issues (remote areas, long driveways, large and low hanging trees, apartment complex, stairs, etc.) should be addressed with us prior to shipping your sauna.

Once the driver has unloaded the sauna, we ask that you immediately inspect the boxes for any damage. Please indicate any minor scratches, indentations, or scuff marks to the outside of the boxes on the delivery receipt. You do not need to open the boxes to inspect the sauna. The freight company will deliver your sauna to a carport or first-floor entryway. Please check the box dimensions and ensure it will fit through your doorway. Assembly on these saunas are surprisingly easy and can take between 30-45 minutes, depending on the sauna. Assembly instructions are included with the saunas.

Warranty Information

SunRay Saunas carry a 7/1 Warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. For warranty claims, please complete and detach the warranty registration card below and send it along with a valid sales receipt to the warranty claims department address below. You can also contact our warranty claim department at warranty@sunraysaunas.com.

The 7-Year SunRay Warranty covers the structure of the sauna which includes the wooden sauna cabin and all glass parts. All parts including electronic parts and heaters have a 1-Year Warranty.

Warranty claims will only be resolved with the repair of the current product through a parts replacement or shipment of a replacement product. If the warranty claims department determines that the sauna must be returned, it must be returned with a receipt showing date of purchase, purchase price, and the dealer from which the sauna was purchased. No warranty claim will be honored without a receipt. Improper use or installation or damage resulting from acts of nature is not covered under the sauna warranty. No other warranties expressed or implied shall be in effect in lieu of the 7-Year Warranty and no responsibility is assumed for present or future damage due to misuse. SunRay indoor saunas are intended for INDOOR USE. Use of SunRay Saunas indoor models outside will void the warranty.

Do not use lacquers, paints or abrasive cleaners on the sauna. Do not place the sauna on non-approved surfaces or in outdoor applications. Surface cracks are not considered defects in material or workmanship, as they are considered normal characteristics of all wood."

SunRay Solace 2-Person Barrel Sauna

The Solace is the smallest of the four barrels SunRay build: four feet deep by six feet wide, listed for two people. Inside, the barrel measures 69 inches across and 39 inches deep with a 69-inch ceiling, and the curved wall follows the shape of the staves the whole way round.

SunRay build it from solid red cedar cut in a ball-and-socket profile from 1 3/8-inch lumber. Their description of what that joint gives you is direct — weather tight, incredibly sturdy and highly durable. A shingled roof covers the curve, and the barrel sits on what SunRay call solid weather-resistant support cradles.

The Build

What Holds A Barrel Together

A barrel sauna is a ring of cedar staves carried on cradles. Four parts of that build decide how the Solace goes together and how it sits outside.

Ball-And-Socket Red Cedar

The barrel is solid red cedar in SunRay's ball-and-socket construction. SunRay's stated result for the joint is a shell that is weather tight, sturdy and durable, and the lumber is specified at 1 3/8 inches thick.

Tempered Glass

Tempered glass is listed in the Solace kit. In SunRay's photographs the front of the barrel carries a full-height glass door with a long vertical handle, and a small square window set into the cedar on either side of it.

A Harvia Heater, Stones And A Flat Floor

The Solace ships with a Harvia electric heater and sauna stones. SunRay give a maximum of 170 degrees Fahrenheit and a built-in delay timer that lets you set the start time up to eight hours ahead, so the barrel is hot when you get to it. In this photograph the heater sits in a wooden guard between the benches, standing on the slatted floor that comes with the flat floor kit.

Dome Lighting And The Accessory Kit

Interior dome lighting is fitted as standard, and SunRay make a point of saying it needs no additional electrical circuit. The accessory kit that comes with the barrel covers a water bucket with ladle, a thermo-hygrometer and a sand timer. Four Barrels, One Joint

All four SunRay barrels are solid red cedar cut ball-and-socket from 1 3/8-inch lumber, with a shingled roof, stainless steel hardware, tempered glass, a flat floor kit, interior dome lighting and a Harvia heater with stones. What separates them is depth. The Solace is the shallowest at 49 inches, and the only one of the four SunRay list for two. One caution on the weights below: SunRay publish the same 721 lbs against the Aurora, the Oasis and the Galley despite their different depths, so treat those three as approximate.

Yes. A Harvia electric heater with sauna stones ships with the barrel. Alongside it: the flat floor kit, interior dome lighting, the shingled roof, tempered glass, stainless steel hardware, the solid weather-resistant support cradles, and the accessory kit of bucket, ladle, thermo-hygrometer and sand timer. SunRay's own Solace listing states the heater size two different ways, so we do not publish a rating for it here — ask us and we will confirm it with SunRay in writing before you order.

The 601 lbs is SunRay's published product weight; they do not publish a separate shipping weight.
