Free Curbside Delivery

 Curbside Delivery ships via Freight to the 48 contiguous states. The freight carrier will contact you 24 to 48 hours prior to delivery to set a delivery day and time Monday-Friday, with a 4-hour open window.

      They won’t deliver without speaking to you first. **Shipping times are only approximate, and can change depending on environmental conditions, transit issues, and carrier’s availability. Last minute appointments can occur, and it’s out of our hands since the delivery process is managed by the carrier’s. The sauna will be delivered in 1 box or more, depending on the model. All boxes will be strapped to a pallet. All saunas are delivered in a 53-foot semi-truck with a single driver, who will unload the pallet to your curbside or driveway only. Any delivery questions or issues (remote areas, long driveways, large and low hanging trees, apartment complex, stairs, etc.) should be addressed with us prior to shipping your sauna.

        Once the driver has unloaded the sauna, we ask that you immediately inspect the boxes for any damage. Please indicate any minor scratches, indentations, or scuff marks to the outside of the boxes on the delivery receipt. You do not need to open the boxes to inspect the sauna. The freight company will deliver your sauna to a carport or first-floor entryway. Please check the box dimensions and ensure it will fit through your doorway. Assembly on these saunas are surprisingly easy and can take between 30-45 minutes, depending on the sauna. Assembly instructions are included with the saunas.

Warranty Information

SunRay Saunas carry a 7/1 Warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. For warranty claims, please complete and detach the warranty registration card below and send it along with a valid sales receipt to the warranty claims department address below. You can also contact our warranty claim department at warranty@sunraysaunas.com.

The 7-Year SunRay Warranty covers the structure of the sauna which includes the wooden sauna cabin and all glass parts.  All parts including electronic parts and heaters have a 1-Year Warranty. 

Warranty claims will only be resolved with the repair of the current product through a parts replacement or shipment of a replacement product. If the warranty claims department determines that the sauna must be returned, it must be returned with a receipt showing date of purchase, purchase price, and the dealer from which the sauna was purchased. No warranty claim will be honored without a receipt. Improper use or installation or damage resulting from acts of nature is not covered under the sauna warranty. No other warranties expressed or implied shall be in effect in lieu of the 7-Year Warranty and no responsibility is assumed for present or future damage due to misuse. SunRay indoor saunas are intended for INDOOR USE. Use of SunRay Saunas indoor models outside will void the warranty.

Do not use lacquers, paints or abrasive cleaners on the sauna. Do not place the sauna on non-approved surfaces or in outdoor applications. Surface cracks are not considered defects in material or workmanship, as they are considered normal characteristics of all wood."

Traditional Barrel Sauna

SunRay Aurora 2-4 Person Barrel Sauna

SunRay describe the Aurora as a 5-foot deep by 6-foot wide barrel, and publish the exterior cabin at 72 inches wide by 61 inches deep — the middle depth of their four. SunRay list it as a 2-4 person sauna and describe the surplus bench space as somewhere to stretch your legs when there are fewer of you in it. The interior runs 69 inches across, 51 inches deep and 69 inches to the crown of the curve.

A Harvia 6 kW electric heater comes with the barrel along with the stones for it, rated by SunRay to a maximum of 170 degrees Fahrenheit and fitted with a delay timer you can set up to eight hours ahead. The shell is solid red cedar in 1 3/8-inch ball-and-socket lumber, with ergonomic backrests inside and a shingled roof SunRay specify for extreme climates.

The Build

Cedar, Locked Stave To Stave

Everything about a barrel sauna follows from the joint between the staves and the heater sitting in the middle of it. On the Aurora those two things come with backrests and a roof built for hard weather.

The Aurora ships with a 6 kW Harvia electric heater and the sauna stones that go on it. SunRay rate the barrel to a maximum of 170 degrees Fahrenheit, and the heater carries a delay timer with an eight-hour window.

Ball-And-Socket Cedar

Yes — a 6 kW Harvia electric heater with sauna stones. The kit also carries the flat floor kit, ergonomic backrests, stainless steel hardware, interior dome lighting, the shingled roof, tempered glass, the solid weather-resistant support cradles, and an accessory kit of bucket, ladle, thermo-hygrometer and sand timer.

The 721 lbs is SunRay's published product weight; they do not publish a separate shipping weight. SunRay print that same 721 lbs figure against the Aurora, the Oasis and the Galley despite their different depths, so treat it as approximate rather than a freight weight — talk to us before you plan a lift or a hire around it.
220V, 50/60Hz on a dedicated 30 amp outlet, with the 6 kW heater drawing 6000 watts. SunRay state that the interior dome lighting does not require an additional electrical circuit. Sauna heater wiring should be run by a licensed electrician.
SunRay give a maximum of 170 degrees Fahrenheit from the 6 kW Harvia. The heater has a built-in delay timer with a start time you can set up to 8 hours ahead.
SunRay cover the sauna with what they call a 7/1 warranty: 7 years on the structure — the wooden cabin and all glass parts — and 1 year on all parts including electronics and the heater.
