Joint-Specific Wrap
A knee is an awkward shape to treat. Flat pads slide off it, ice bags fall away when you bend, and most of the joint line sits where a strap will not hold. This device is a neoprene wrap built for that shape, with the thermal surface and the vibration motors already positioned inside it.
Three treatment programs are built in: cooling, heating and contrast. Three vibration modes run alongside them or on their own. The battery lifts out and is shared across the RecoveryTherm range, so a second battery from another device in the family drops straight in. Run time depends on which program you choose: 90 minutes in hot, 60 in cold, 30 in contrast.
Key Features
Four things define this wrap: the programs, the vibration, the contact surface and the fabric. Here is what Therabody publishes about each, and where their explanation ends and ours begins.
Specifications
Eight published facts about owning this wrap, including the two warranty periods, which are different lengths for the device and the battery.
Around the Joint
The wrap is contoured, so the thermal surface stays against the joint through a bend and the strap does the holding. Neoprene gives it the stiffness to keep that shape and the give to close around different leg sizes, which is how a one-size product covers a joint that varies as much as the knee does. Germanium-infused fabric runs through the construction alongside it.
Cooling, heating and contrast are the three built-in treatment programs. Vibration is a separate axis with three modes, usable on its own or layered onto either temperature program. Each program has its own run-time envelope on a full battery: 90 minutes for hot, 60 for cold and 30 for contrast, which reflects how much work the device is doing in each. Everything is selected on the wrap, with no phone in the loop.
The strap is flexible neoprene and it is the only sizing adjustment on the product, because there is one size and no chart of leg measurements to check yourself against. The battery is the other piece worth knowing: it lifts out, it is compatible with other RecoveryTherm products, and it carries a 90-day limited warranty of its own while the device carries a full year. A soft case, a USB-C cable and a power adapter come in the box.
Compare
Choose on body part first. Two of these are shaped for a specific area, one goes anywhere a strap reaches, and one works by suction.
