Cupping Therapy System

Therabody TheraCup

Cupping usually means glass, fire and a practitioner. TheraCup is a handheld device that draws the same suction electronically and adds heat and vibration through the same cup. Three interchangeable transparent cups come in the box – 35 mm, 45 mm and 55 mm – so the contact area matches the site you are working, from a forearm to a shoulder. The device stands 140 mm tall and sits in one hand.

Suction, heat and vibration run together under the name ThermaVibration™ Technology, set from controls on the device itself. Three built-in safety sensors watch the suction and heat while it runs, with an auto-shutoff behind them. The cups are transparent, so you can see the tissue under the cup for the whole treatment.

The system

3-in-1 heat and vibration cupping powered by ThermaVibration™ Technology

Therabody's own product page describes the therapies qualitatively. The numbers below come from the live Recovery For Athletes product listing and its specification tabs, and we say so wherever we quote one.

🔥
ThermaVibration™ Technology
Suction lifts the tissue, heat warms it and vibration works through the same cup at the same time. Our live product listing sets out the ranges: suction decompression at 30 kPa, 40 kPa and 50 kPa; heat at 41C, 43C and 45C; vibration on Low, High and Wave. Therabody's current page names the three therapies without publishing those figures.
Suction + heat + vibration
🛡️
Unparalleled safety
Three built-in safety sensors monitor suction and heat while the device runs, backed by an auto-shutoff. The listing adds internal pressure detection that cuts power above 60 kPa and a warning prompt when you select the highest suction level.

Professional-grade treatments at home
Every setting lives on the device. You choose the cup, place it, set the level, and watch the tissue through the transparent wall while it works. No app or pairing sits between you and the treatment.

A closer look

More control. More precision.

Cup sizes

35 mm, 45 mm and 55 mm

Contact diameter is the variable that matters most in cupping, and this is where the three cups come in. The 35 mm cup concentrates on a small area such as a forearm or the side of a calf. The 55 mm cup spreads the same suction across a broader surface like the upper back or a quad. The 45 mm sits between them. All three swap onto the same device by hand.

The device

One body, 140 mm tall, everything on it

The cup detaches from the body, which is how you change sizes and how you clean it. The body carries the pump, the heating element, the vibration motor, the controls and the LED power indicator. Nothing plugs into it during use. Therabody publishes the height – 140 mm – and no weight figure, so we quote the height only.

Four items, one pouch

The kit is four items: the device, three cups, a cable and a case. Three sizes cover the range most people need, which keeps the whole thing down to one pouch. Everything stores together in the neoprene pouch, which is what makes it realistic to take on a trip or keep in a training bag.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

A handheld electronic cupping device. It draws suction through a transparent cup and adds heat and vibration through the same cup, under the name ThermaVibration™ Technology. Three cup sizes ship with it and every control is on the device.
The live Recovery For Athletes product listing states 3 intensity levels – 30 kPa, 40 kPa and 50 kPa. Therabody's current product page names suction as a therapy without publishing a level count or a kPa figure, so treat those numbers as coming from the live listing.
The live listing gives 3 heat levels at 41C, 43C and 45C. Therabody's page describes the heat qualitatively and publishes no temperature, so again the figures are the listing's, not the manufacturer page's.
The listing gives three: Low, High and Wave. No vibration frequency in Hz is published for the TheraCup by either source, so we do not state one.
Match the diameter to the area. 35 mm for a narrow site such as a forearm or the outside of a calf, 55 mm for broad surfaces like the upper back or a quad, and 45 mm for anything between. They swap by hand in seconds.
Therabody states three built-in safety sensors monitoring suction and heat during use, with an auto-shutoff feature behind them. The live listing adds detail: auto shutoff after 3 minutes of continual usage, internal pressure detection that shuts the device off above 60 kPa, and a high intensity suction warning when you select the top suction level.
The live listing specifies an internal lithium-ion battery with a 120-minute battery life. Therabody's product page publishes no battery figure at all, and neither source gives a charge time, so we quote the run time from the listing and leave charge time out.
The device is 140 mm tall. That is the only body dimension Therabody publishes – there is no width, depth or weight figure on the product page, so we will not estimate one.
The cups are transparent, which is stated. The housing material is not published by Therabody, so we do not name one.
No. Therabody positions it for use at home without the assistance of a professional, which is what the on-device controls and the built-in safeguards exist to support. Speak to your own clinician first if you have a condition that affects the skin or circulation in the area you plan to treat.
No. Therabody lists no app or Bluetooth integration for the TheraCup. Everything is set on the device.
Their claim is specific and worth quoting as theirs: Therabody says the heat helps "reduce muscle spasms, improve range of motion and boost blood flow". That is the manufacturer's wording, and we present it as their claim, not as an outcome we can promise you.
The TheraCup device, 3 interchangeable transparent cups (35 mm, 45 mm, 55 mm), a USB-C charging cable and a neoprene carrying pouch.
Two terms. A 1-year limited warranty on the device and a 90-day limited warranty on the cups.
Therabody lists the TheraCup as FDA Registered. That is a separate designation from FDA Cleared, and we use the exact wording Therabody publishes.
Multi-packs are stocked for clinics, training rooms and teams who need several units on hand. Each pack contains complete kits, so every device arrives with its own three cups, cable and pouch.
