  • Should I get the Ice Barrel 300, 400 or 500? - Each Ice Barrel is unique in its own way. When considering which is best for you, consider climate, accessibility and how you will use the barrel. The 300 is shorter and wider, so it is easier to enter and exit without using a step stool. The 300 is also fully insulated, so it might be a good choice for those who live in warmer climates. The 400 is taller and larger, so it allows for a more relaxed upright position — especially if you are over 6 foot 2 inches or 250 pounds. The 500 is the largest, comfortably fitting most body types up to 7 feet tall. It’s also fully insulated for performance in warm climates and comes chiller ready without modification.
  • Will I fit? - The Ice Barrel 300 comfortably fits most body types up to 6’2″ and 250 lbs. The Ice Barrel 400 comfortably fits most body types up to 6’6″ and 300 lbs, while the Ice Barrel 500 comfortably fits most body types up to 7′ and 300 lbs.
  • How do I clean and maintain the Ice Barrel? - The Ice Barrel requires very little maintenance. It has an easy-to-use drainage system that connects to a standard garden hose. We recommend changing the water every four weeks or as preferred. You can keep your water cleaner by using a water stabilizer. We recommend our maintenance kit, which includes everything you’ll need to keep your Ice Barrel clean and functional.
  • Can I put it on a balcony? - The Ice Barrel 400 is compact and portable, so it’s a great option for people in apartments or with limited space. Keep in mind that while the Ice Barrel 400 is only 55 lbs. when empty, it weighs more than 900 pounds when full, so make sure your space can safely support its full weight.
  • What if I don’t have a chiller? - We recommend the Penguin Chillers Barrel Cold Therapy Chiller, specifcally designed to work with the Ice Barrel. While the Ice Barrel 500 has easy connects for chillers, it can just as easily be used with ice. Simply plug the inlet port at the top of the barrel (the plug is included with your purchase) then fill with water and ice to reach your desired temperature.

**Effective 10/25/2024, we will begin charging a cancellation fee on all Ice Barrel products for canceled orders after they have been processed. The cancellation fee will be 4% per order. This fee will be deducted from the refund amount that is issued to you for the canceled order.
