Jugs Combo Carousel Feeder

The Jugs Combo Carousel Feeder is an automatic ball feeder for combo pitching machines, and it lets players practice hitting on their own without a coach or teammate feeding balls. It fits the MVP Combo, the Jr and the BP1 Combo. The Lexan drum holds 36 baseballs or 18 softballs and releases one every 6 seconds. Multi-point leg adjustments fine tune its height and angle so the drum lines up with the throwing head. An in-line ON/OFF remote switch comes with it, and the steel feeder runs on 110-volt AC.

Without a feeder, a pitching machine needs two people, one to hit and one to feed. The feeder takes over that second job, so one player can run a full round. Load the Lexan drum, switch it on and the machine keeps throwing while the hitter stays in the box. It does not fit the 2 Wheel Combo, older 2-wheel models or the JUGS Combination 2-wheel machine.

How it works

No second person needed
Without a feeder, a machine session has a fixed staffing cost: one person in the box and one person dropping balls into the chute. The feeder lets players practice hitting on their own without needing a coach or teammate to feed balls, so one player can run the machine you already own.

How to use it

Solo practice

Load the drum and hit

A solo round starts with the combo machine and the feeder set up together on a level surface. Fill the Lexan drum with 36 baseballs or 18 softballs, set the feeder's height and angle on its multi-point legs, switch on and walk to the plate. A red light shows the feeder is on, and from there the machine throws a ball every 6 seconds until the drum is empty, roughly three and a half minutes on the baseball side. The hitter's only job is the swing, with a JUGS protective screen in front of the machine.

Built for combo machines

The Combo Carousel Feeder fits the MVP Combo, the Jr and the BP1 Combo, and the exclusion is part of its name: not the 2 Wheel Combo. Combo machines throw baseballs and softballs off the same frame, and the drum takes either, 36 baseballs or 18 softballs. Softballs go in at 11 in. or 12 in. circumference and baseballs at 9 in. circumference, in JUGS seamed, Softie or dimpled styles, plus LeatherLast softballs and Pearl baseballs. A single-sport machine takes one of the other versions of the Jugs Carousel Feeder, each named for the models it fits.
