PicoPulse: Picosecond Laser

PicoPulse is a picosecond laser with a 450ps pulse width. It runs 1064nm and 532nm as standard, delivers 1500mj at 1064nm and 800mj at 532nm, and reaches a peak power of 1.33GW on the 1064nm line. The zoom spot is adjustable 2-10mm, the repetition rate is 1-10Hz, the beam profile is top hat, and a 7 joints arm carries the light to the handpiece behind a 655nm red aiming beam.

Four modes are selectable: picosecond, long pulse, PTP and multi-pulse. The software ships with recommended energy, frequency and spot size for 11 common treatment items, so the operator starts from a set figure and adjusts from there. Kavvia lists the machine for tattoo removal, pigmentation removal, skin brightening, laser skin rejuvenation and acne mark correction.
