Resurf CO2: CO2 Fractional Laser

Resurf CO2 is a fractional carbon dioxide laser built around a 50W RF excited tube. Kavvia puts penetration at up to 4mm of dermis in a single pulse and the focal spot diameter at 80um. The pulse is shorter than the tissue relaxation time, which is how the machine holds down thermal damage while still producing thermal ablation and coagulation.

Four modes are selectable at the console, CW, SP, CPG and SM, and a 360 degree zoom tube is optional. Kavvia lists the laser for skin rejuvenation, skin tightening, wrinkle removal, scar reconstruction and superficial pigmentation, and designates it for aesthetic professionals.
