Kinvent K- Force Plates

A pair of portable platforms that record how a standing load is shared between the two feet and where it sits under each one. The K-Force app reports centre of pressure, distribution between the tips and heels of the feet, and the left-to-right share of body weight, in bipedal or unipedal stance.

The app traces the centre of pressure across a stance trial and returns a confidence ellipse for the path it took. The Romberg coefficient is calculated alongside it, so an eyes-open and eyes-closed pair of trials can be compared as numbers.

Standing trials, bipedal and unipedal

One foot per platform gives the two-sided picture: centre of pressure for each side, the front-to-back split within each foot, and the percentage of body weight carried left against right. Move both feet onto a single platform, or stand on one leg, and the same indicators come back for that stance.

Games with a target you set yourself

The app carries a set of games driven by live plate data. Each one takes a target expressed as a percentage of the maximum recorded in the evaluation, so the number on screen comes from that person's own assessment. Every game carries ten difficulty steps to work through.
