The Osaki Bliss VL is the smallest massage chair Osaki build, and the space it takes up is the first reason to look at it. It stands 42 in. tall on a footprint of 26 by 38.5 in. That clears a 26 in. doorway, assembled or unassembled. The base turns a full 360 degrees without the feet moving. Point it at the window or the television without dragging it across the floor. Pull the handle under the ottoman and it lifts up to 7 in. Dropped flat, the chair sits at the height of an ordinary recliner. Between sessions it reads as furniture, not equipment.

Under the upholstery is a full SL-track, the single rail that runs the rollers from your head, down the curve of your spine, and on under your hips. It is laser-crafted steel, and it is the same track geometry Osaki fit to chairs twice this size, with no section trimmed out to make the frame small. Shoulder position sets across three width increments and three speeds. A carbon coil puts heat through your lumbar, and two air cells at the hips compress at two intensity levels. Five auto programs and five massage styles run off a handheld remote on a 20 minute timer. The ottoman handle sets leg support for whoever is in the seat, and the swivel base turns the chair to face the rest of the room. Built to Live in the Room It Sits In

Most massage chairs take over the room they sit in. The Bliss VL is built to stay out of the way: 26 in. wide, turning on its own base, dropping its ottoman flat. With nobody in it, it takes up the space a recliner takes up.

A 360 Degree Base and a 7 in. Ottoman Lift

The whole chair turns through a full circle on its base, so it faces whichever way the room needs that evening. The ottoman rises up to 7 in. on a handle, setting leg height for whoever is in the seat and leveling the chair off when the massage finishes. Neither adjustment asks you to move the chair or its feet. In a room where the furniture is already placed, a 26 by 38.5 in. footprint only works if it stays put.

A Full SL-Track in a 26 in. Frame

The track is laser-crafted steel and runs from your head down through your hips, the same geometry Osaki use in much larger chairs. Fitting that path inside a 26 by 38.5 in. footprint is what makes the chair unusual at this size. The roller path stayed full length while the frame came down around it. An S-track runs only as far as the point where your back meets the seat. The SL shape here keeps the spinal curve and adds the extension underneath, so the stroke carries on past your tailbone into the hip area.

Shoulder Position Across Three Widths

The rollers travel up and down the track and left and right across it. Width has three increments and speed has three levels, so you narrow the shoulder pass onto your spine or open it out toward the blades, all from the remote. Those two axes are the whole of what a 2D mechanism does, and the rollers hold one depth for the entire session. A 3D mechanism adds a third direction, which means the rollers push out of the backrest and draw back into it, so you choose how hard they press. A 4D mechanism goes further again, which means the speed of that push changes partway through a stroke. Both want a deeper backrest than a 26 by 38.5 in. frame allows, and that is the trade the Bliss VL makes to fit where it does.

The Base Turns and the Ottoman Lifts

Two adjustments keep this chair usable as furniture. The base swivels a full 360 degrees, so the seat faces the room during the day and faces away from it during a session. The ottoman lifts up to 7 in. on a handle, coming up against the back of your calves if you are tall and dropping flush if you are not. At 26 in. wide, 38.5 in. deep and 42 in. tall, the whole thing stays inside the space a standard recliner already takes.

Shoulder Width Set in Three Increments

The rollers move along the SL-track and across it. Width has three settings and speed has three levels, both on the handheld remote, which is how one chair covers a 13 in. seat and an 18 in. shoulder span across different bodies. The headrest pillow lifts off entirely, and flipping it back brings your neck and shoulders closer to the rollers for a firmer pass through that section.

A Knob Underneath Sets the Recline Tension

The recline on the Bliss VL is mechanical. The backrest lays back to roughly 60 degrees, and a knob underneath sets the tension that brings it upright again. Turn it one way for a light return and the other way for a firm one, to suit whoever uses the chair most. Reclined, the carbon coil warms your lower back and the two hip air cells cycle at either of their two intensity levels. Sessions are held to a 20 minute auto timer, which shuts the program down for you. The recline holds wherever you leave it until you push the backrest forward against the tension you set.

26 in. wide by 38.5 in. deep by 42 in. tall, upright. Allow room behind for the backrest, which lays back to about 60 degrees, and room in front for the ottoman at its full 7 in. of lift. The base swivels through a complete circle, so leave clearance at the sides as well if you plan to turn the chair where it stands.

You need 26 in., and that is the figure assembled or unassembled. Measure the smallest inner width of the frame with the door opened as far as it goes. It is the narrowest doorway requirement of any chair in the Osaki entry group.

Yes. A full 360 degree swivel, so the seat turns through a complete circle on its base without the feet moving. That matters more in a living room than it sounds. The chair faces the television for an evening and a window for a session, with no lifting or dragging to do either.

Up to 7 in. There is a handle underneath. Pull it and the ottoman lifts, which is how leg support matches different heights. Lowered, it sits flat with the rest of the chair.

What Is NOT Covered*:

Any shipping expenses incurred. Transportation damage; theft; abuse; neglect; vandalism.
Damages incurred due to shipping and handling, dropped products, improper installation, and/or unauthorized repairs do not constitute a defect under this warranty.
Modifications or altered conditions of the original product, improper use of electrical/power supplies, electrical disturbances and power surges.
Malfunctions due to improper use as well as unreasonable use or maintenance including failure to follow operating instructions.
Any environmental conditions (examples: fire, floods, rust, corrosion, sand, dirt, windstorms, hail, earthquakes, and/or tornados) or any other exposure to weather conditions.
This warranty does not include normal wear and tear including velcro or zipper malfunction, or tears in any fabric covering by abuse. Failures or attached points in stitching, Velcro, and zippers do not constitute as a defect for warranty.
Softening/ hardening of foams and filling composites in pillows and pads; Fading, wear, and pilling of fabrics does not constitute a defect under this warranty as those items naturally change with use.
Natural patterns and grains and variations in leather will not constitute as a defect under this warranty, as no two pieces of fabric are identical.
The warranty shall not apply if the product has been damaged physically, whether intentionally or due accident or neglect: including stains, fluids, mold, water damage, animal damage, cuts, burns or is otherwise unsanitary, damaged or soiled.
Products used in commercial or corporate settings.
Products purchased from unauthorized dealers.
Under this warranty, if a product is determined to be unfixable and requires replacement, the customer is responsible for placing the chair in the garage or another accessible location for the driver to pick up. The returned item must be properly packaged; otherwise, the agent will not be able to pick it up. Upon delivery, the delivery agent will place the chair in the driveway or the nearest accessible area, such as the garage.

Implied Warranty & Other Damages:

Any implied warranties shall be limited to the duration of the 1 year portion of this limited warranty, and with regard to structural framework, limited to the duration of the 3 year portion of this limited warranty.
