Sports Attack Hack Attack Baseball Pitching Machine w/Extended Legs

The Sports Attack Hack Attack Baseball Pitching Machine w/Extended Legs is the three-wheel Hack Attack pitching machine supplied with a set of three 67 in. extended legs. Fitted to the tripod, the legs raise the ball release height from 53 in. to 70 in. Every pitch and every fungo leaves from that point, so the coach sets the starting height once and works from it. The hitter still tracks the ball through the feed, acceleration and release, as he would off a live pitcher. Pitch type stays a dial setting, and the head still pivots for fungo. The machine itself arrives fully assembled and plugs into 110V power.

The legs leave the Hack Attack's throwing head and controls exactly as they are. Three variable speed motors turn three concave 14 in. throwing wheels that grip the ball in three locations. It throws 100+ MPH at 60 ft with a 5 second recovery. The elevation adjustment handle still raises and lowers the pitch, and the inside/outside adjustment still moves ball location at the plate.

The Leg Set

How it works

The extended legs change the height the ball leaves from, while the throwing head, the two handles and the transport routine work the way they do on the standard legs.

A set of three legs for the Hack Attack baseball pitching machine, each measuring 67 in. Fitted to the tripod, they lift the ball release point by 17 in. over the standard legs, and they come out of their sockets the same way when the session ends.

Release point

Setting the ball release height

The three extended legs socket into the tripod, and the release height rises with them. Set the machine up once at that height and the two handles do the rest of the placement work: elevation moves the pitch up and down within the strike zone, the inside/outside adjustment moves it across the plate, and both can be turned between pitches with the machine left where it stands.

The Chassis Holding the Legs Up

Three variable speed motors turn the throwing wheels inside a high tensile, heat-treated alloy, weather-resistant aluminum casting head. The frame is powder-coated rust-proof steel and the base is an extra wide tripod. Sports Attack has never replaced a throwing wheel from wear or heat exposure.
