Classic Theragun Heads

Theragun Percussion Massager Attachment

The Theragun Percussion Massager Attachment is the head for the classic Theragun massage guns, in seven shapes that change how the pressure lands: the Standard Ball, Dampener, Large Ball, Cone, Thumb, Wedge and Supersoft. Each is sold on its own, and the Supersoft ships with two spare foam tips. The heads fit the Theragun PRO, Elite, Prime, Sense, Relief, Mini, G3PRO and G3. They do not fit the PRO Plus, Prime Plus or Mini Plus, which take the Plus range. Every head is FDA Registered and HSA/FSA Accepted, with a limited warranty of 90 days, or 30 days on the Wedge and Supersoft.

Shape decides how a head lands on the muscle. The Standard Ball is the medium-impact all-rounder for quick work on tired muscles. The Dampener is the low-impact one, aimed at stubborn knots and tender areas. The Large Ball has a smooth round profile that covers more surface area in a pass. The Cone is the precise one, for trigger points and smaller muscle areas. The Thumb copies the precision of a human thumb and suits trigger points and the lower back. The Wedge brings firm pressure along shoulder blades and IT bands with a scraping motion. The Supersoft is the gentlest, made for elbows, knees and the areas around a joint.

Warranty length is not the same across the seven. Five carry a 90-day limited warranty, and two of them, the Wedge and the Supersoft, carry 30 days. Every head in the range is FDA Registered and HSA/FSA Accepted, with your plan administrator deciding any individual claim. Heads are consumables, and the change interval runs 60 to 90 days depending on how often they are used.

Key Points

Key features

The seven heads share one mount and one set of devices, and the head you fit changes how concentrated the pressure feels far more than any setting on the device does.

Dampener and Supersoft for tender areas
The two gentlest heads
Standard Ball and Large Ball for broad work
Full-body coverage
Cone and Thumb for concentrated work
Trigger points and small areas
Wedge for shoulder blades and IT bands
An edge, not a face

A Closer Look

How to use it

Theragun Large Ball Attachment showing its broad rounded surface
The seven shapes

From a broad ball down to a single point

The range runs on a single axis: how much of the head touches you at once. A wide face spreads the stroke over a lot of muscle and feels softer for it. A narrow face puts the same stroke through a small area and feels much sharper. Two heads, one broad and one narrow, cover the span between those extremes and can be swapped inside a single session. Weights across the range sit between 0.4 oz and 1.2 oz, so none of them changes how the device handles.

  • Standard Ball: medium-impact work on large and small muscle groups, 0.6 oz
  • Dampener: stubborn knots and tender areas, 0.8 oz
  • Large Ball: a broader surface for big muscle groups
  • Cone: trigger points and smaller muscle areas, in closed-cell foam
  • Thumb: trigger points and the lower back, 0.4 oz
  • Wedge: shoulder blades and IT bands, with a 30-day limited warranty
  • Supersoft: elbows, knees and joints, and it ships with 2 spare foam tips

Questions

Frequently asked questions

One head in the shape you select, and no device with it. The Supersoft is the one exception: it includes 2 foam replacements for the soft tip. Every other shape is a single attachment on its own.
Eight models: the Theragun PRO, Elite, Prime, Sense, Relief, Mini, G3PRO and G3. They do not fit the Theragun PRO Plus, the Theragun Prime Plus or the Theragun Mini Plus. Those three run the separate Plus attachment range, and the two families use different mounts.
Nothing at all. These are passive heads with no electronics, no battery and no setting of their own. They push onto the shaft at the front of the device, and the motor behind them supplies every bit of the movement.
Every 60 to 90 days, depending on the number of treatments they see. The face of a head compresses and marks with use, and the pressure spreads differently once it does. Wipe a head down after a session, let it dry, and keep it out of a hot car.
The Standard Ball covers the most ground and is the usual first buy. Add the Dampener or the Supersoft if you want something gentler on tender spots, and the Cone or the Thumb when you want the stroke concentrated on one place. The Wedge is the specialist for shoulder blades and IT bands.
Standard Ball, 1.5 in x 1.9 in and 0.6 oz. Dampener, 1.6 in x 2.1 in and 0.8 oz. Cone, 1.8 in x 1.4 in and 0.5 oz. Thumb and Wedge, 1.0 in x 1.3 in and 0.4 oz each. Supersoft, 2.4 in x 2.4 in and 1.2 oz. The Large Ball is the exception in this list: it is the broadest face of the seven.
The classic heads fit every Theragun except the PRO Plus, the Prime Plus and the Mini Plus. None of these seven will mount on those devices, and the Theragun Plus Attachment listing is the one that will. This is a consumable, so a fresh set suits the moment current heads wear.
Five of the seven carry a 90-day limited warranty. The Wedge and the Supersoft carry 30 days. All seven are FDA Registered, an establishment listing with the agency and not a clearance or a verdict on safety, and all seven are HSA/FSA Accepted subject to your plan administrator.
