The Smart Swim 2 is the core FORM goggle — a pair of smart swimming goggles with a patented Waveguide AR display projecting nine real-time metrics into your line of sight, plus an integrated optical heart rate sensor that reads from the temple. No chest strap. No watch. No extra accessories. Heart-rate-based training built directly into the goggles themselves.
The heart rate sensor is the headline feature, and per FORM's own white paper, it's more accurate than the leading smartwatch for pool swimming — the wrist is a poor place to read heart rate while swimming because the watch loses contact and water disrupts the signal. The Smart Swim 2 reads from the temple, where contact is consistent throughout the swim. The result: zone-based training, threshold work, and recovery-zone aerobic swims work the same way they do on a bike or run, but actually in the pool.
The other eight metrics — pace, distance, time, stroke rate, stroke count, distance per stroke, split times, and calories — all display in the same waveguide.
