WaterRower M1 HiRise Rowing Machine with S4 Monitor

The WaterRower M1 HiRise Rowing Machine with S4 Performance Monitor is the perfect rowing machine for commercial use. The WaterRower M1 HiRise is a full commercial model with a slightly higher entry point (500mm/20") than the M1 LoRise (300mm/12"). The frame is constructed from powdercoated aluminum. Rowing is one of the best exercises for giving you a full body workout by incorporating every muscle group in the body. In terms of burning calories rowing is one of the exercises that burns the most calories because you are using every muscle in your body. As opposed to most rowing machines which have wind resistance, the waterpower machines use water as resistance, giving you the most accurate and quietest rowing machine on the market today.

The Ultimate Water Rower

WaterRower Rowing Machine in use

Rowing ranks among the most efficient sports in terms of conditioning strength and endurance, by spreading work over a wide range of muscles. A well-performed rowing stroke will engage 84% of the body’s muscle mass- from your hands holding onto oars, to your feet pushing off in the boat, and all the muscles in between.

The WaterRower is unrivaled in benefits derived per unit of time. Training on other common aerobic exercise equipment such as treadmills, cycles or ellipticals utilize far less muscle mass and burn fewer calories, generating less overall exercise benefits. Rowing promotes functional muscle fitness. Users will experience enhanced muscle durability, resilience and performance, all contributing to optimal body posture.

Rowing is the best exercise for arthritis, moving the joints through a full range of motion with minimal impact and body weight on the joints. Rowing machine exercise is a guaranteed balance of strength and endurance demands on the body, making it the perfect workout for today’s busy schedules. Users will further be invigorated by the WaterRower’s unique blend of wood, moving water and rhythm experienced with each stroke. Sensory satisfaction guaranteed!

I use these machines at

"I use these machines at the gym I go to. Generally its a great machine, but it's not setup very well to accomdate different body types. Largely this has to do with the foot plates. If your feet pronate at all, they will probably fall out of the footplates, at the heel. Also, specifically for men with larger thighs, the footplates are fixed so you cant spread your feet wider than the default setup, which can make for some 'anatomical' problems..."
