A second cooling pathway working alongside the PCM above. Copper has high thermal conductivity — it pulls heat away from contact points faster than gel infusions used in lower-tier mattresses. The foam still contours like memory foam (cradling shoulders, hips, lower back), but the trapped-heat penalty traditional memory foam is known for is engineered out. Below the PCM layer, this is the second of three cooling systems in the mattress.

A firm, flat, sturdy foundation. Compatible: a platform bed, a slatted frame with slats spaced less than 5.5 inches apart, a foundation, or an adjustable base. Not compatible: a traditional box spring, or any frame with slats spaced wider than 5.5 inches — the foam can sag through the gaps over time and may void the warranty. The 13.5" profile means you'll want to factor in total bed height when pairing with a frame.
120 nights of in-home use. Bear requires a 30-night break-in period before initiating a return — standard for foam-based mattresses, which feel different in the first couple weeks while the body adjusts. After night 30 and before night 120, email returns@bearmattress.com to start a return. Bear arranges pickup at no cost and issues a full refund. Past 120 nights, the limited lifetime warranty kicks in for manufacturing defects.
