Self-Powered Elliptical

SportsArt E865 Elliptical

Stride length on the E865 adjusts manually from 18 in to 25.5 in. That 7.5-inch span is what lets one frame serve a short, quad-dominant stroke and a long, posterior-chain one, so a machine shared across a household or a facility does not have to sit at a compromise setting.

The unit is also self-powered: no outlet and no dedicated circuit, which makes placement a floor-plan decision instead of a wiring one. MyFlex™ pedal cushioning handles the contact points, and the LED console reports twelve live readouts across 14 resistance levels.

The Technology

Two design decisions define this machine.

Everything else on the E865 is a console feature. These two are structural — how it gets its power, and what happens where your feet meet it.

Self-Powered Drive
The E865 requires no wall outlet and no dedicated circuit. That removes the constraint that usually decides where a piece of cardio equipment can sit, so the only question left is whether the 80.1 x 25.4 in footprint fits where you want it.
No Outlet Required
🦵
MyFlex™ Pedal Cushioning
The pedals are the only two points where load transfers from the machine into the body, and on a long session those two points determine whether the workout ends because of fatigue or because of foot and ankle discomfort. MyFlex cushions the platform to keep that contact comfortable.

LED Console

Twelve readouts, live.

The E865 reports effort three different ways — heart rate, METs and Human Watts — alongside the standard distance and stride data.

Built For Recovery

Where the E865 earns its place.

SportsArt E865 Elliptical manual stride length adjustment
Adjustable Stride

18 to 25.5 inches, set by hand

The E865's stride adjusts manually across a 7.5-inch range, so the same frame supports a compact 18 in stroke and a long 25.5 in one. Stride length also changes which muscles carry the load: a short stroke biases quad-dominant work, a long one recruits more posterior chain. That makes the adjustment a training variable as much as a fit setting, and three Glute programs are built in on top of it.

  • 18–25.5 in / 45.7–64.8 cm stride range
  • Manual stride adjustment
  • 14 resistance levels
  • Three Glute programs, three Interval programs

Power & Platform

No cord, no circuit, no impact

The E865 powers itself from the user's motion. There is no outlet requirement and no dedicated circuit to specify, which removes the electrical constraint that usually dictates where cardio equipment can sit in a room. On the platform, MyFlex™ pedal cushioning softens the contact points through long sessions, and because the stroke never breaks contact with the pedal, the whole movement stays low-impact — useful when the goal is aerobic volume without adding foot strikes to an already loaded joint.

  • Self-powered — no outlet or dedicated circuit
  • MyFlex™ pedal cushioning system
  • 12.8 in / 32.5 cm step up height
  • 400 lb / 181.4 kg maximum user weight
  • USB-C charging for personal devices

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

No. The E865 is self-powered, so there is no outlet requirement and no dedicated circuit to specify. Placement is limited by floor space rather than by where the wiring happens to be.
Manually, across a range of 18 in to 25.5 in (45.7–64.8 cm). You set it by hand rather than through the console, which means each user can dial in their own stroke length on a shared machine. A shorter stride shifts emphasis toward the quads; a longer one recruits more posterior chain.
The E865 carries a Light Commercial warranty: lifetime on the frame, 5 years on parts, 5 years on wear items, 3 years labor, and 90 days on high wear items with no labor. SportsArt defines product lifetime as 7 years. Coverage applies in the US and Canada only.
A live readout of the power you are producing, measured in watts. It sits alongside METs and heart rate on the console, giving you three independent ways to gauge effort — useful if you want an output number that does not drift with fatigue, caffeine or heat the way heart rate does.
Step-up height is 12.8 in / 32.5 cm. Anyone with limited hip or knee flexion should check that measurement before ordering, and ceiling clearance needs to account for that 12.8 in plus the user's standing height. The machine itself measures 80.1 x 25.4 x 68.5 in and weighs 264 lbs.
Manual, Random, Plateau, three Interval programs, three Glute programs, Fitness Tests and Heart Rate Programs. All run across 14 resistance levels, and Cardio Advisor displays are standard.
Standard on every E865: wireless heart rate, manual adjustable stride, Cardio Advisor, USB-C charging and the MyFlex pedal cushioning system. The SA WELL+ workout tracking function is available as an option. Confirm option pricing and availability before ordering.
