"First the purchase process from Recovery for Athletes was wonderful. Stayed in full contact and answered all question I had. Second while it takes a little longer I liked the fact that a third party delivered my smart bike. They carried to my room of choice and made there was no damage. Outstanding service!"
"The SB20 has changed my virtual cycling life!"
"Really impressed with the customer service I received from the service rep. He went above and beyond with my purchase. The purchase price for the SB20 Smart bike as advertise on the site was on sale for $2499. Which was $650 dollars cheaper than the actual Stages site. However, while waiting delivery of my bike I went back to the Stages site and the bike went on sale for $1999. I called back to the Recovery sales rep and informed him of the price and without hesitation he priced match the Stages site and I received a refund for the difference no credit "Totally Awesome". As you all know most will apply a credit that can be used to purchase from their store only. This was not the case. Thank you Recovery for Athletes sales reps for your help with this purchase. The bike will arrive Monday 26 Sept. Can't wait to start riding."
"The Stages SB20 arrived quickly, and is a blast. I’ve only owned it for a short time, so check back."
"I upgraded to the SB20 from Cycleops Pro400, which was pretty much outdated due to new third party software offerings. The Pro400 is on an ANT +, protocol and required dongles to be connected to most software. I really like the Bluetooth protocol on the SB20. Connection to Rouvy was quick and seamless, and responsive. I am really impressed with the quietness of the SB20, with its belt, rather than chain, drive. If there was a negative in the comparison of the two bikes, which by the way are comparable in MSRP, is the design for the adjustments to the seat and handlebars. To adjust the seat and handlebars the locking knobs on the SB20 have to be tightened to the point that you fear breaking the knobs, especially on the handlebars. Even after tightening the horizontal axis on the bars to a point of, "Ouch!", the bars still rock to the right and left. Really distracting during sprints. In comparison, the Pro 400 adjustments are absolutely rock solid. Once locked in , with very little torque, it is impossible for the handlebars or seat to move. Overall, I am quite satisfied with both the bike and Recovery. I am going to explore modifications to the handlebar attachment to see if I can get the play out of the adjustment. Thanks."
"Switched from a more traditional studio bike (from Diamondback Fitness) to get a more realistic indoor biking experience while still accommodating my partner, who doesn't ride outside but likes cycling workouts. The SB20 has been great so far. Easily adjustable (I'm 5' 11", she's 5' 2"), much more realistic feel than a studio bike, and syncs without issue to Zwift and TrainerRoad. Electronic shifting is very good and with the Stages app can be customized to match your preferred drivetrain. I also like that it uses two Stages power meters in the cranks instead of just calculating power based on rotation speed like a lot of indoor cycling rigs do. I'm not sure it's enormously more accurate than other smart trainers, but it's a lot better than the studio bike was. My only real complaint so far is the "hoods" on the handlebars are too small to match my road bike, but I just angled the bars up a bit to simulate larger hoods. And the saddle it comes with isn't great, but I wouldn't expect it to be, and it's easy to swap out for whatever you want. It's easy to spend 75-90 minutes on the bike without getting uncomfortable. The bike is a bit of a pain to put together, but Stages has a video on YouTube walking you through the steps. Recovery was great to work with. Yeah, it took a few days for the order to go through, but they were communicative and the delivery vendor was professional and showed up when they said they would. They also priced the bike about 20% below anywhere else, it was a great deal. Strong recommend!"
"The order and delivery went really well. Have had the smart trainer for about 5 days now and could not be happier."
"Shipment of the trainer gave no information throughout the experience. This is a problem as the customer is in the dark. With that said the experience was easy and as expected."
"I spent months researching which smart bike to purchase, and kept coming back to the Stages SB20. I used to run a bike shop, and race, and my standards for gear are very high. Widely recognized as an excellent manufacturer of spin bikes, the SB20 seemed like a great option for my family. Before this, we traded a smart trainer but the hassle of switching between bicycles meant it didn't get used by everyone. The SB20 was the ideal alternative -- easy to switch between users, and an excellent way to interface with Zwift, TrainerRoad, etc. What I didn't realize when we bought the SB20 was how incredibly quiet it is. After a Saris smart trainer (with drivetrain noise) I'm blown away by how quiet this bike is. We mostly use the SB20 with Zwift. The tablet mount is extremely good. The shifters work well enough, but I mostly use ERG mode so the bike does the switching for me. Overall, this has been an excellent purchase. The price from Recovery for Athletes was extremely competitive, and they didn't charge shipping or tax. All-in, it was almost a thousand dollars less than the other options I was considering (Tacx and Kickr). This has been a great purchase and I'd highly recommend it to anyone considering a smart bike. The SB20 is sometimes called the "best in class" smart bike, and I wholeheartedly agree. Highly recommended!"
"Works great with zwift"
