Chattanooga Shortwave Diathermy Capacitive Electrodes

Chattanooga shortwave diathermy capacitive electrodes fit the Intelect SWD100 and each size is used two at a time: one electrode either side of the treatment area, with the field running between them. Three sizes are stocked, 80 mm, 120 mm and 165 mm, and they are sold singly, so one of a size is half a set. With the 80 mm electrode fitted, continuous output runs 0 to 80 W at 50 ohm against 0 to 100 W with the larger applicators, and pulsed output is 0 to 200 W at 27.12 MHz.

All three sizes belong to the Intelect SWD100 and fit no other unit. They are the capacitive coupling route on that machine; the inductive route is the 14 cm round Monode drum that ships with the unit and the larger 18 x 39 cm Diplode, and the two methods place the field differently. The electrodes are not a consumable, so a clinic buys a pair in each size it plans to run and keeps them with the machine. The soft rubber electrodes in the same family are a different part again, and we do not stock them.
