Second Rung Of The Ladder

Kinvent Starter Pack

Five wireless sensors and a year of software. Two of the five are what separate this pack from the rung below it: the K-Grip, a grip dynamometer supplied with its accessory, and the K-Bubble, a wireless inflatable pressure sensor that reads muscle activation, strength and endurance through controlled air pressure variations. Add those to the K-Push, K-Pull and K-Move already in the Discovery Pack and the hand and the soft, awkward contact positions are covered alongside the large efforts.

Those two additions are what a clinician wants when hand and forearm work becomes a regular part of the caseload, or when a reading has to be taken through a soft inflated form because a rigid pad has nowhere to sit. The software is the same tier the Discovery Pack carries: a one-year Kinvent Physio subscription on STARTER, which Kinvent position for the individual practitioner and publish at three terminals and three profiles. Moving up from Discovery to here is a hardware move alone.

The Licence You Land On

Exactly what the STARTER tier covers

Kinvent publish a feature table across STARTER, PREMIUM and EXCELLENCE. This pack ships on the first of the three, so the figures below are the ones that apply, printed as Kinvent print them.

📱
Three terminals
A terminal is a device signed in to the licence, and this tier carries three. PREMIUM raises that to six and EXCELLENCE to twenty, so count the tablets and phones your rooms actually run before you settle on a tier.
3 terminals
🗂️
Three profiles
STARTER holds three profiles, against six on PREMIUM and twenty on EXCELLENCE. For most buyers this single figure decides the tier before any hardware question does, and Kinvent publish it plainly.
3 profiles
🧍
One person at a time
Group training sits on the two tiers above this one, and group testing on EXCELLENCE alone. STARTER runs single-person sessions, which is how a one-room practice schedules its day anyway.
Single-person sessions
📋
Standard protocol set
The PREMIUM and EXCELLENCE protocol libraries sit on their own tiers, as does CSV export of raw data. STARTER runs the standard set, and all five sensors feed it without restriction.

Sensor Detail

The two additions, and the three they join

Kinvent K-Grip hand dynamometer in use during a grip strength test
Addition One

K-Grip, the hand on the record

The hand closes on the handle, the sensor reads the squeeze, and the force figure is on screen while the hand is still closed. Kinvent name grip strength as an indicator of neuromuscular function, fatigue level and rehabilitation progress, which is three jobs for a measurement that takes two seconds. Nothing in the test depends on how the tester braces the device, so the number belongs to the patient alone. Full published figures are on the K-Grip page.

  • Maximal grip strength test returns peak grip force
  • Isometric exercises and repetition-based training on the same handle
  • Grip force drives the app's interactive games
  • 2.2 lbs, 11.81 x 3.74 x 7.87 in, Bluetooth
  • Supplied in this pack with its accessory
Peak grip force Baselines and imbalances Accessory included
Kinvent K-Bubble pressure sensor used in a squeeze test
Addition Two

K-Bubble, pressure where a pad will not fit

Pressing on a sealed, inflated accessory raises the air pressure inside it, and K-Bubble reads that variation as muscle activation, strength and endurance. A ball between the knees captures adductor effort. A cushion behind the head captures work at the cervical spine. How hard the accessory is pumped sets the resistance the body meets, so one sensor covers a first rehab session and a later loaded one. Kinvent show it with a grip accessory, an inflatable balloon and a cushion; see the K-Bubble page for the detail.

  • Muscle activation, strength and endurance from air pressure
  • Isometric, isotonic and biofeedback exercises
  • Customizable resistance set by inflation level
  • Neck, back, lower limb and core work named by Kinvent
  • 4.41 lbs, wireless to the Kinvent app
Pneumatic Adjustable resistance Live biofeedback
Kinvent K-Push handheld dynamometer pressed against a limb
Carried Up

K-Push and K-Pull, the two force routes

Both arrive unchanged from the rung below. K-Push reads isometric strength through compression on two flat 50 kg load cells, published up to 90 kg with 0.1 kg accuracy and validated against an Electroforce testing system, with magnetic heads covering almost 40 muscle groups. K-Pull sits in line between an anchor and a strap so the tester stays out of the load path, which is what makes the isometric mid-thigh pull and the Nordic hamstring test practical in a clinic room.

  • K-Push: peak and average isometric force, 0.1 kg accuracy
  • K-Push: almost 40 muscle groups with the accessory range
  • K-Pull: tensile force, isometric and dynamic
  • K-Pull: IMTP, Nordic hamstring and resisted strength testing
  • Both Bluetooth to the Kinvent app
90 kg / 0.1 kg Traction testing
Kinvent K-Move portable goniometer measuring joint angle
Carried Up

K-Move, the angle beside the force

A force figure without a range-of-motion figure only tells half the story of a recovering joint. K-Move is a portable goniometer built around a nine-degree-of-freedom inertial unit, published at better than 0.5 degrees with minimal drift, running 7 hours on a charge. It records flexion, extension, abduction, adduction and rotation in a chosen anatomic plane and puts the injured limb next to the healthy one in the same view.

  • Accuracy better than 0.5 degrees, minimal drift over time
  • Accelerometer, gyroscope and magnetometer in one housing
  • Maximum amplitude stored as the 100% reference
  • Target games across ten difficulty levels
  • 7 hour battery, accessories included with the sensor
Under 0.5 degrees 9 DOF IMU Symmetry analysis

Key Applications

What five sensors let you run

Every application below is one Kinvent publish for a sensor that ships in this pack.

🎯
Maximal Grip Strength Testing
K-Grip determines peak grip force to establish strength baselines and identify imbalances between sides.
🧠
Neuromuscular Fatigue Monitoring
Kinvent name grip strength as an indicator of fatigue level, which is how clinicians and coaches adjust training loads.
🎮
Gamified Rehab Sessions
Grip force drives interactive games on K-Grip, and K-Move sets game targets as a percentage of a stored maximum.
🧘
Core And Postural Training
K-Bubble improves posture, stability and balance through controlled pressure based exercises.
🩹
Neck, Back And Lower Limb Rehab
The three regions Kinvent name for K-Bubble, where a soft inflated contact sits in positions a rigid pad cannot.
💪
Isometric Strength Across The Body
K-Push covers almost 40 muscle groups with its magnetic accessory range, reading peak and average force.
🦵
Heavy Lower Body Testing
K-Pull anchors the load so the tester is out of the path, covering the isometric mid-thigh pull and the Nordic hamstring test.
📐
Range Of Motion Assessment
K-Move records joint range in a chosen anatomic plane across flexion, extension, abduction, adduction and rotation.
🔀
Injured Against Healthy Comparison
K-Move puts both limbs in the same view, and K-Grip does the same for left and right hand from stored baselines.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Five sensors and a year of software: K-Push, K-Pull, K-Move, K-Grip with its accessory and K-Bubble, plus a twelve-month Kinvent Physio subscription on the STARTER tier. Individual pages for each sensor are linked from the dives above.
Two sensors. The K-Grip, a grip dynamometer supplied here with its accessory, and the K-Bubble, a wireless inflatable pressure sensor. The licence tier does not change between the two packs, so this is a hardware move alone.
All three of them, unchanged: K-Push for isometric strength through compression, K-Pull for tensile force through an anchored line, and K-Move for joint range of motion.
A one-year Kinvent Physio subscription on the STARTER tier. RFA's listing names the tier outright, which is unusual on this ladder where several listings state the year without stating the tier. Kinvent position STARTER for the individual practitioner.
Three terminals. Kinvent's table sets six on PREMIUM and twenty on EXCELLENCE. If each of your rooms keeps its own tablet, count them before you commit to a tier.
Yes, and it is the same number: three profiles on STARTER, six on PREMIUM, twenty on EXCELLENCE. For most buyers this figure decides the tier before any hardware question does.
Not on this tier. Group training is a PREMIUM and EXCELLENCE row in Kinvent's published table, and group testing appears on EXCELLENCE alone. STARTER runs single-person sessions across all five sensors.
No. CSV export of raw data sits on the EXCELLENCE tier in Kinvent's published table. If your practice does its own analysis outside the app, read that row carefully before choosing a pack.
Yes. All five are stocked individually at RFA: K-Push, K-Pull, K-Move, K-Grip and K-Bubble. Add the five together at their individual prices and the total sits a little under the pack, with the gap accounted for by the twelve-month STARTER subscription the pack includes.
No. K-Push takes force through a rigid pad held against a limb and reports isometric strength up to 90 kg at 0.1 kg accuracy. K-Bubble takes it through air inside a soft accessory and reports muscle activation, strength and endurance, which opens up a ball between the knees or a cushion behind the head.
No. Balance, posture and force distribution under the feet are what the K-Force Plates read, and those first appear one rung up in the Evolution Pack, which also steps the licence to PREMIUM. Nothing in this five-sensor set stands on the floor.
No. A duffle bag is part of the Evolution Pack and above, so plan your own case if you take this five-sensor set out to a club or a school. What does arrive beyond the sensors is the K-Grip accessory and the subscription year.
Two of the five carry published tolerances: K-Push at 0.1 kg up to 90 kg, validated against an Electroforce testing system, and K-Move at better than 0.5 degrees with minimal drift. Kinvent publish no force range or accuracy figure for K-Grip, K-Bubble or K-Pull. We are not going to quote a precision number nobody has published, so those rows read as unpublished in the spec sheet above.
Only K-Move has a published figure: 7 hours. Kinvent publish no autonomy or charge-time number for K-Push, K-Pull, K-Grip or K-Bubble, stating only that each is wireless and pairs to the Kinvent app. If run time decides your purchase, ask us before ordering and we will put the question to Kinvent.
