Chattanooga Triton 6E Traction Table - (Electronic)

The Chattanooga Triton 6E Traction Table - (Electronic) is a fully electric six-section traction table, with each section moved by its own actuator from an ergonomic hand remote. Head, chest, pelvic and leg positions are set from any side of the table, without walking round to a release lever. Heated cushions hold two set points, 95 F and 100.4 F. An LED light system built into the frame runs seven colours with a fade option. The column lifts the top from 19 to 37 in., and four upholstery colours are on offer.

The table is 90.5 x 37 x 31 in., 109.8 in. long with the traction arm fitted, with an 85.4 in. table length and a 27.5 in. cushion. The column lifts a dynamic load of 440 lb, and the frame takes a maximum workload of 605 lb.

The table

How it works

On the 6E every section is powered, the cushions heat and the frame carries its own light, all worked from one hand remote.

An actuator on every section
All six sections are powered by their own actuator and driven from an ergonomically positioned hand remote, for smooth, friction-free movement across the head, pelvic, chest and leg sections. A clinician setting a patient up alone reaches every section from either side of the table.

Cushions that heat to two set points
The cushions carry two heat set points, 95 F and 100.4 F, which is roughly skin temperature and a little above it. Heating is built into the table top and switched from the console, so there is no separate heat pad to fetch and launder between patients.

Pelvic tilt and headpiece
The pelvic section tilts 0 deg to 20 deg to help promote lumbar spine flexion, and the headpiece repositions from -30 deg to +40 deg for improved access to the thoracic and cervical regions. Dropping the headpiece below horizontal opens the head end for cervical positioning.

An LED band in the frame
Seven colours with a fade option are integrated into the table frame, an atmospheric light system that sets a calm treatment environment and keeps the table lit when the room lighting comes down.

Every section on the hand remote

Head and back section 28 in., middle section 8.6 in., pelvic section 10 in. and leg section 30 in. Each of the six is driven by its own actuator from the remote, so the clinician sets a position without letting go of the patient. Tuck-away grab bars anchor the patient for hanging traction without a thoracic restraint.

Fitment

Which head mounts on the 6E arm

The traction head mounts on the arm and does the pulling. The Triton DTS unit comes inside the Basic and Advanced accessory packages, while the Triton Traction Unit and the TX Traction Unit are sold on their own and mount on the same arm. Every head needs its own patient interrupt switch in the patient's grasp before it will run, and the switch follows the head, so a TX switch and a Triton switch are different parts. Belting, bolsters and positioning pillows are ordered separately, and the QuikWrap DTS Belt Set and the Deluxe Universal Belt System are separate products.

No. This is the table only. The Triton DTS Traction Unit is sold separately in the Basic (8245) or the Advanced (8250) accessory package, and the Triton Traction Unit and the TX Traction Unit mount on the same head-end arm.

Basic is the Triton DTS traction unit, the QuikWrap DTS belt set and a pair of knee bolsters. Advanced adds the Stabilizer pressure biofeedback unit and the Clinical Cervical Traction System with its clevis. The DTS head in both holds up to 80 user-defined protocols and pulls from 0 to 200 lb in 1 lb steps.

The QuikWrap DTS Belt Set, built for pelvic or lumbar traction applications, rated up to 300 lb. The Deluxe Universal Belt System is a different product, holding a thoracic belt, a pelvic belt and a pelvic belt extender, and it goes on in two minutes.
