Off a load cell in the head, so the figure on the screen is the figure on the cord, in 1 lb increments up to 890 N. Static, intermittent and cyclic modes can also be combined.

A traction table and a belt set, at minimum. The head mounts on its securing bracket to a Triton 6M, a Triton 6E, a Galaxy TTET-300 or a Galaxy TTET-400, all sold separately. Lumbar and pelvic belting is the QuikWrap DTS Belt System or the Deluxe Universal Belt System, and cervical work runs through the Saunders Clinical Cervical Traction System, which arrives with its own clevis. A Traction Flexion Stool and a Knee Bolster Set cover positioning.

The carton holds the Triton Traction Unit, Patient Data Cards (5), Securing Bracket, Patient Interrupt Switch (9 ft / 2.75 m, shielded, 26 AWG), Patient Interrupt Switch Hook Kit, Mains Power Cord (80 in. / 203 cm, shielded, 18 AWG) and the User Manual. The two sEMG builds add an sEMG lead wire and two sets of four Dura-Stick II electrodes. Belting, bolsters, the flexion stool and the cervical traction device are all ordered on their own.

100 V to 240 V at 50/60 Hz, drawing 75 VA and 3.2 A max. It is Class I, Type B, rated for continuous operation. The head measures 9.5 x 17.5 x 17.5 in. (24 x 45 x 45 cm) on its bracket.

One year (12 months) from original consumer purchase on the unit and 90 days on the accessories shipped with it, which covers the Patient Interrupt Switch, the hook kit, the securing bracket and the mains cord in the carton. Annual factory calibration is required for Triton traction units, and service should be performed only by a Field Service Technician certified by Chattanooga Group. Inspect the traction cord for wear before each use; the replacement cord is part 48031.

Traction is contraindicated where any of the following are present: structural disease secondary to tumor or infection; vascular compromise; any condition where movement is contraindicated; acute strains, sprains, inflammation aggravated by traction; joint instability of the spine; pregnancy; osteoporosis; hiatus hernia; claustrophobia; cardiac or pulmonary problems. A clinician experienced with traction has to be familiar with the user manual before administering traction, and each patient should be individually assessed to determine the appropriateness of the parameter settings prior to use.

Five cards ship in the carton. A card stores treatment sessions, pre- and post-treatment pain scales, pain mapping and pain types, and the record travels with the patient between visits without anyone re-keying it.

They apply to the two sEMG builds and to the sEMG module itself, and they do not describe the base head. The module is 6.63 x 3 x 1.63 in. (16.83 x 7.62 x 4.13 cm) at 5.2 oz (146 g), with input impedance above 1,000,000 ohm, input sensitivity below 1.0 microvolt RMS, and a frequency range of 15 Hz to 1000 Hz with CMRR above 120 dB (above 180 dB at 50/60 Hz). The sEMG input is Type BF where the rest of the unit is Type B.
