Hyperice Venom 2 Back Wrap

The Venom 2 Back is the longest of the three Venom 2 wraps at 48 × 11 × 2 in, cut to run across the lower back and fasten around the torso with an adjustable compression strap. It weighs 2.3 lbs. The Shoulder and Leg wraps in the same family weigh 1.1 lbs each, so the Back is the wrap you settle into a chair with.

Three heat levels run 113°F (45°C), 122°F (50°C) and 131°F (55°C), and three vibration patterns run underneath them. Battery life is 3 hours from an 18V power supply that ships with three international plug adapters. Bluetooth® connects the wrap to the Hyperice App if you would rather change settings from your phone than reach behind your back.

Specifications

Hyperice Venom 2 Heated Back Wrap

Four things carry this wrap: the heat scale, the vibration set, the materials it is built from, and the Bluetooth® link. Everything below is a published Hyperice figure or a published Hyperice description, and nothing has been carried across from another product in the line.

🔥
HyperHeat™ Technology
Three fixed levels: Level 1 at 113°F (45°C), Level 2 at 122°F (50°C), Level 3 at 131°F (55°C). Hyperice credits HyperHeat™ with even, consistent distribution across the treated area, which on a 48-inch panel is the part that matters. The same three-step scale runs on the Venom 2 Shoulder and Leg wraps. The smaller Venom Go runs a lower scale and tops out at 113°F.
113°F / 122°F / 131°F
Three Distinct Vibration Patterns
The Recovery For Athletes listing describes three levels of vibration frequency; Hyperice describes three vibration patterns. Either way there are three, they are chosen independently of the heat level, and that gives nine heat-and-vibration combinations from three buttons. Hyperice publishes no frequency in Hz for any Venom product, so there is no number to compare against another brand.

🧵
Premium Materials And Design
A lightweight neoprene wrap with a silicone surface, a refreshed on-device interface, and an adjustable compression strap that pulls the panel in against the lower back. Hyperice states the heated surface area is 2x larger than the original Venom. Neoprene holds a shape when you cinch it, and the silicone face wipes down after a session.

📱
Bluetooth® And The Hyperice App
The wrap pairs to the Hyperice App over Bluetooth® for remote control of heat and vibration. On a back wrap this is more useful than it sounds: once the strap is cinched and you have settled into a chair, the three buttons are behind you, and the phone is not.

Why This One

What The Back Wrap Gives You That The Others Don't

The three Venom 2 wraps share their heat scale, their vibration set, their battery and their materials. What separates them is shape, size and weight, and on the Back wrap those three numbers are the whole argument.

Three Buttons, One Strap, Forty-Eight Inches

Venom 2 three-button control panel held in hand
Fast. Hot. Relief.

The Ultimate Combination Of Heat And Vibration

Power, heat, vibration. That is the whole control panel. Heat steps through 113°F, 122°F and 131°F, vibration steps through its three patterns, and the two are set separately so any heat level can run with any pattern. Nine states, three buttons, no menus.

  • HyperHeat™ technology: Level 1, 113°F (45°C) / Level 2, 122°F (50°C) / Level 3, 131°F (55°C)
  • Vibration: three distinct patterns, chosen independently of heat
  • Refreshed on-device user interface over the original Venom
  • Bluetooth: connects via Bluetooth® to the Hyperice App for customized control
  • Hyperice publishes no auto shut-off time and no session timer for this wrap

What's Included

Three items ship in the box. The charger is an 18V wall unit, and the three extra plug adapters mean the wrap keeps working on a trip abroad without a converter hunt at the hotel desk.

  • Venom 2: the actual device, in the Back configuration
  • Power supply: an 18V wall charger to keep the wrap charged and ready to go
  • Additional plug adapters (3): to charge the device no matter where you are
  • Battery life: 3 hours per charge, stated as a single figure with no per-mode breakdown
  • Hyperice publishes no charge time for the Venom 2, so plan around the 3 hour run time
18V power supply 3 plug adapters 3 hr battery

Fit And Materials

Forty-Eight Inches At Two Point Three Pounds

Two inches thick is the number that decides whether this disappears under a shirt or sits on top of one. The panel is slim enough to wear at a desk, and the compression strap adjusts so the heated face stays flat against the lower back while you move.

  • Size: 48 x 11 x 2 in., one size with an adjustable compression strap
  • Weight: 2.3 lbs, against 1.1 lbs for the Venom 2 Shoulder and Leg wraps
  • Neoprene wrap + silicone surface: adjust the fit to your liking and clean easily after use
  • Heated surface area is stated by Hyperice as 2x larger than the original Venom
  • Hyperice publishes no numeric waist or circumference range, only the one-size strap
2.3 lbs 2 in thick One size

The Venom Range

Four Venom Wraps, Four Body Parts

The three Venom 2 wraps run the same heat scale, the same three vibration patterns and the same 3 hour battery. Pick by shape and weight. The Venom Go sits apart: a smaller pod on adhesive pads, running a lower heat scale.

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Hyperice's own guidance splits the range this way: heat is used for muscle soreness or stiffness, and ice is used for acute injuries or pain involving inflammation or swelling. The Venom line provides heat and vibration therapy, and the Hyperice line of cold wraps provides ice compression. This is Hyperice's framing of when to use which product. Treat a medical question as one for a clinician who knows your back.
What is verifiable is the hardware. The Venom 2 Back applies heat at three fixed temperatures across a 48-inch panel, with three vibration patterns underneath, for 3 hours per charge. Hyperice's own copy goes further, describing the wrap as relief for everyday aches, a sore lower back and shoulder or knee strain, and as a way to loosen and warm up faster. Those are the brand's claims about outcomes, and they sit outside its published specifications.
Three levels: 113°F (45°C), 122°F (50°C) and 131°F (55°C). The Venom 2 Shoulder and Venom 2 Leg wraps use the identical scale. The Venom Go does not: it runs 105°F, 109°F and 113°F, so its hottest setting matches this wrap's coolest.
It is Hyperice's name for the heating system in the Venom 2, and the company's stated aim for it is even, consistent distribution of heat across the treated area. On a panel this long that is the meaningful part: the difference between a warm middle with cool ends and a panel that reads the same across its length. Hyperice also states the Venom 2's heated surface area is 2x larger than the original Venom.
Hyperice publishes no warm-up time in seconds or minutes for any Venom product. It publishes a comparison instead, that the Venom 2 heats 6x faster, but the baseline moves between sources: one gives "other devices" and another gives "a standard heating pad". Treat it as a Hyperice marketing comparison and judge the wrap on the temperatures it publishes. Hyperice does not attach the claim to the Venom 2 Leg wrap at all.
There are three settings. Hyperice calls them three vibration patterns; the Recovery For Athletes listing calls them three levels of vibration frequency. They are selected on their own button, separately from heat, which is what gives the wrap nine heat-and-vibration states. No vibration frequency in Hz is published for any Venom, so there is no Hz figure to compare against another brand.
3 hours of battery life, charged by the included 18V power supply. Three additional plug adapters ship in the box for use abroad. Hyperice states the 3 hours as one figure and does not break it out by heat level or by whether vibration is running, and it publishes no charge time.
48 x 11 x 2 in. and 2.3 lbs. It is one size, with an adjustable compression strap to set the tension. Hyperice publishes no waist or circumference range in inches, so there is no numeric fit range to check yourself against before ordering.
Hyperice lists the Venom 2 as TSA friendly, and the Recovery For Athletes listing describes it as approved by TSA for carry-on. The three international plug adapters in the box point the same direction. Airline and security rules change, so check the current guidance for lithium battery devices before you fly.
A neoprene wrap with a silicone surface. Neoprene holds its shape when the compression strap is cinched, and the silicone face is the part that meets skin and clothing, so it can be wiped down after use. Hyperice's phrasing is that you adjust the fit to your liking and clean easily after use.
It pairs the wrap to the Hyperice App for remote control of heat and vibration. That matters most on this model of all four: once the Back wrap is strapped on, its buttons are behind you. The wrap runs fully without the app if you would rather not pair it.
Only in shape, size and weight. All three run the same 113°F / 122°F / 131°F heat scale, the same three vibration patterns, the same 3 hour battery and the same neoprene-and-silicone build. The Back is 48 x 11 x 2 in at 2.3 lbs, the Shoulder is 45 x 22 x 2 in at 1.1 lbs, and the Leg is 38 x 14 x 2 in at 1.1 lbs.
Different scale of device. The Venom Go is a small magnetic pod worn on reusable adhesive pads at 0.2 lbs, and its heat runs 105°F, 109°F and 113°F. The Venom 2 Back is a full 2.3 lb strapped panel reaching 131°F with a 3 hour battery. They are built for different situations.
Hyperice lists the Venom 2 as FSA/HSA eligible. Eligibility rules are set by your plan administrator, so confirm with them before you submit.
Hyperice publishes no auto shut-off time and no session timer for the Venom 2. Work to the manual that ships in the box, and treat the 3 hour battery as the outer limit of a single charge.
