Osaki Platinum Solis 4D Massage Chair

The Osaki Platinum Solis 4D is a 4D massage chair built on a dual mechanism and a flexible track, and the track is the part that separates it from the rest of the Osaki range. A standard SL-track holds the seat base at a fixed angle to the backrest, which caps how far a chair can open out. The Solis flex track releases that angle, so the chair reclines past 180 degrees and opens into a 190 degree spinal decompression stretch with your hips anchored and the backrest traveling beyond flat. Two separate mechanism controllers run the dual mechanism, and the 4D mechanism gives you control of depth and speed on top of the massage style.

Around the rollers sits one of the larger air systems Osaki fits to a chair, with 54 air cells wrapping your shoulders, arms, hips, calves and feet. The footrest carries two foot rollers under each foot and one spinning calf roller against each calf, on a calf rest that runs 13.5 in. long, and it extends itself up to 5 in. to match your leg. You get 18 auto programs and 5 manual massage styles, reachable from the touchscreen controller, the side control panels, or intelligent voice recognition using the commands in the manual. The Solis weighs 286.0 lb, takes a user up to 330 lb, and comes in Black, Brown and Taupe.

Inside the chair

The Chair That Opens Past Flat

A flexible track, a 4D dual mechanism with two separate controllers, and 54 air cells around them, which is what a 190 degree stretch takes to build.

📏
Flex Track System
On a standard SL-track massage chair, the base of the seat sits at a fixed angle to the backrest, and that angle is the limit on how far the chair can open. The Solis flex track breaks the fixed relationship between the two, so the backrest travels past 180 degrees while the seat stays where it is. The rollers still run the full curve from the neck and shoulders through the lower back, and the track carries them through the change of shape as the chair opens out.
Reclines past 180 degrees
🤸
190 Degree Spinal Decompression Stretch
The flex track turns into a stretch program once the chair passes flat. With your hips held by the seat airbags and the shoulder section carrying the top of your body, the frame extends to 190 degrees and holds the position. Very few massage chairs open beyond flat at all, and the extra ten degrees on the Solis is the whole reason the flexible track is fitted in the first place.

💨
54 Air Cell Compression
54 airbags cover the parts of your body the roller track has no path to. They wrap your shoulders, arms, hips, calves and feet, inflating and releasing in sequence so the compression travels along a limb from one end to the other. Between the 4D rollers down the center of your back and 54 cells arranged on either side of them, a single auto program reaches your back, both arms, your hips and both legs.

Spinning Calf and Foot Rollers
The footrest carries two rollers under each foot and one spinning roller against each calf, all of them running reflexology ridges. The calf rest itself measures 13.5 in., longer than the calf section on most chairs, and it covers more of the calf on a tall user while still closing down on a short one. The whole footrest extends up to 5 in. on its own to set the length before a program starts.

Track

A Track That Lets the Chair Recline Beyond 180 Degrees

The flexible track is the single feature that puts the Solis in a different category from the SL-track chairs around it. A conventional SL-track massage chair holds the seat base and the backrest in a fixed relationship, so the furthest the chair can go is flat. The Solis releases that hinge and keeps the roller path continuous while the geometry changes, which is how the backrest reaches 190 degrees with your hips still anchored in the seat. Two separate mechanism controllers manage the dual mechanism through the movement, and the 4D mechanism keeps working the back at the depth and speed you set.

Every Roller Below the Knee Is Ridged

54 air cells run the length of the Solis and cover your shoulders, arms, hips, calves and feet, so a program that starts at the rollers finishes at the soles. The footrest is where the Solis puts most of its hardware, with two foot rollers under each foot and one spinning calf roller against each calf, six rollers below the knee in total, every one of them cut with reflexology ridges. The calf rest measures 13.5 in., which is longer than the calf section on a typical chair and covers more of the calf on a taller user. Extension is automatic and runs up to 5 in., so the footrest finds your leg length before the program begins.

  • 54 air cell compression across five body zones
  • Two foot rollers under each foot
  • One spinning calf roller against each calf
  • Calf rest 13.5 in. long, footrest extends up to 5 in.

Position

Eighty-One Inches of Floor Fully Reclined

Zero gravity reclining and space saving technology are both built in, and the space saving is what makes an 81 in. reclined length workable in a normal room. Upright, the Solis measures 30.0 in. W x 63.0 in. L x 48.4 in. H. Fully reclined it measures 30.0 in. W x 81.0 in. L x 37.4 in. H. The base slides forward as the backrest goes down, so the chair only needs 10 in. of gap behind it to reach a complete recline, and the 18 in. of length it gains all happens in front of the chair. Width holds at 30.0 in. in both positions, which is also the minimum doorway you need for delivery.

  • Upright 30.0 in. W x 63.0 in. L x 48.4 in. H
  • Reclined 30.0 in. W x 81.0 in. L x 37.4 in. H
  • Space saving: 10 in. of wall clearance
  • Minimum doorway size 30.0 in.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

A track that does not lock the seat base at a fixed angle to the backrest. On a standard SL-track massage chair that angle is fixed and the chair stops at flat. The Solis flex track releases it, so the backrest reclines beyond 180 degrees while the rollers keep running their curve from the neck and shoulders down through the lower back.
190 degrees, which Osaki call a spinal decompression stretch. Ten degrees past flat, held with your hips anchored by the seat airbags. It is the furthest opening angle on any Osaki chair we stock.
54 air cell compression, placed around your shoulders, arms, hips, calves and feet. The count sits above the Osaki Platinum 4D Master at 46 cells, and fewer than the Ai Apex Duo 5D+4D and Grand Duo 4D+4D, which both run 62.
The Solis runs a 4D dual mechanism with 2 separate mech controllers, so the two mechanisms are driven independently of each other. The 4D mechanism handles your back and gives you control over the depth and the speed of the stroke on top of the massage style you pick.
Six below the knee. Two foot rollers under each foot and one spinning calf roller against each calf, all with reflexology ridges. The calf rest is 13.5 in. long, longer than the calf section on most chairs.
Yes. The automatic extendable footrest extends up to 5 in. on its own to match your leg length, so your calf drops into the calf well and your sole meets the foot plate without you adjusting anything by hand.
18 auto programs and 5 manual massage styles. The auto programs include Full Body Relaxation, Chinese Massage, Japanese Massage, Handstand Stretch, Super Stretch, Alignment Mode, Neck & Shoulder Massage, Waist & Hip Massage, Upper Body, Lower Body and Quick Massage. The five manual styles are Kneading, Tapping, Knead & Tap, Shiatsu and Rolling.
Lumbar only, from a graphene heating element at your low back, running at approximately 75 to 83 degrees F. There is no heat at the feet or the calves on this chair.
Yes. Intelligent voice recognition runs on the command set printed in the manual. On the chair itself you also get a touchscreen controller and side control panels, plus HD Bluetooth surround speakers, LED mood lighting and a removable headrest.
Upright: 30.0 in. W x 63.0 in. L x 48.4 in. H. Reclined: 30.0 in. W x 81.0 in. L x 37.4 in. H. Space saving technology means you only need 10 in. behind the chair for a full recline, because the base travels forward as the backrest drops.
Plan on 30.0 in., the same as the chair's width in either position. Measure the whole route while you are at it. Stair turns and hallway corners catch more deliveries than door frames do.
The chair weighs 286.0 lb and takes a user up to 330 lb, the highest user capacity of the four chairs compared above. It ships in one box measuring 35.0 in. x 56.0 in. x 50.0 in. at a packed weight of 324.0 lb. Shoulder width is 19.0 in. and seat width is 21.0 in.
It plugs into a standard household outlet at 110 to 120 V, 50/60 Hz. Osaki back it with a 5 year warranty: 3 years full service plus an additional 2 years on parts.
